ST Magazine #136
 |
Here comes the issue 136 of ST Magazine. Already 7 issues since AtTOS changed name. Time moves fast, and we are already at the Alchimie IV, "add-ons" for the CT60 are coming and offer USB. Reading DVDs and encoding videos in formats such as divX is now possible. In short, our machines that seemed to be several battles late (no USB, no Firewire, no memory card readers, no DVDs, slow, etc.) are all exited again. The CT60, in the absence of a real new machine, has given a healthy impulsion to our machines, at least the Falcon. Adapting Open source software seems to happen routinely. We can only rejoice from that.
All this can only be an incentive for the Atari community to continue this way and to be proud of its machines, even if they are out of fashion.
ST Magazine continues more than ever to support all this by reporting facts, testing these new things, writing in depths articles.
ST Magazine seems to obtain, because of the English version, a certain international recognition. And the simultaneous release of the 134 and 135 English version of ST Magazine should confirm these facts. Furthermore 16/32 systems, the only current reseller of ST Magazine in English, offers a 6 issues subscription, a proof that confidence is there, and it's always better when things happen this way!
Well, all this to say we have to keep the course steady, and be happy of the pleasure we have with these unique machines, that decidedly have guts (we have to say some Falcons, through adding cards and hacks, had to swallow quite a lot of components ;-)
Enjoy your reading once again, and let's meet at the end of the year for the issue 137.
